Official translation

Under current Hungarian legislation, our office is authorized to produce officially endorsed translations. Each completed translation is printed, stamped, and signed. We then attach the original source document (or a copy) and affix the official endorsement from our office, including a certification in both the source and target languages, confirming that the translation’s content and format are identical to the original document.

Authorised translation of official documents for corporate registration

We provide authorized Hungarian translations of foreign-language official documents for corporate registration purposes, including Articles of Association, Certificates of Incorporation, Signature Specimens, and Minutes of Members’ Meetings. According to Section 6/A of Decree No. 24/1986 (VI. 26.) of the MT (Council of Ministers), the Corporate Registry accepts translations bearing the official endorsement of LinguaMED Translation Agency.

Translation of court documents

According to the Civil Procedure Code (Law CXXX of 2016) effective from January 1, 2018, translations of documents involved in civil procedures need to be certified only if there is doubt about their accuracy or completeness. As stated in paragraph 62 of this law a simple translation can be usedunless other laws, EU regulations, or international agreements specify otherwise. This means that, in many cases, court document translations can be completed more quicklyand cost-effectivelyas an official certified translation is not always required.

Official documents for foreign employment

For Hungarian nationals working abroad and foreign professionals coming to work in Hungary we translate professional CVs, diplomas, certificates, various official documents, professional certificates and certificates of good conduct. Translation assignments are accepted with short (1-2 day) deadlines at favourable prices with no special urgency surcharges.

Properly endorsed official translations vs. certified public records

If you require translation of other types of documents between Hungarian and foreign languages, we strongly recommend checking whether officially endorsed translations are sufficient or if you need a certified public record translation prepared by OFFI (Országos Fordító- és Fordításhitelesítő Iroda, Hungarian Office for Translation and Attestation Ltd.).
